What Former Players are Saying about Watford

Watford players Luis Suarez and Sebastian Prodl have claimed that Watford is on their way to a strong finish in the second half of the season. Currently playing with Real Zaragoza, Suarez arrived at Vicarage Road back in 2017. He was sent on loan with Real Valladolid, Gimnastic, and now Zaragoza; he has played well after stepping up his game this season.

Suarez believes it’s time for him to be given a chance at playing at the highest level- two years left before reaching his contract’s expiry date- because every year he has improved since arriving from Uruguay until now when he plays for teams around Europe such as Valladolid or Gimeinatstic). “Every year I’ve been better than last so that says something about my high-performance levels.”

The player said he has two more years of playing on the Hornets and it is up to them what happens next. “I am certainly prepared to play in one of the top leagues in Europe after my current season,” Suarez explained. Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, or Bundesliga- I believe I’m ready for that.”

“Playing for Watford back in 2017 was an easy decision for me,” admitted Suarez. He didn’t regret his time there because it allowed him to have a different opportunity: moving from South America and into Europe with a Premier League club coming along and giving him their offer. One person from Watford calls him now who keeps touch not only with himself but other people on loan too- once every month just so he can see how they’re doing too?

Speaking to the press, Suarez said: “This season has been really positive for me. I love this club, the city and all of my teammates are treating me well.” He also claims that he hopes he can help promote Watford to La Liga.

Meanwhile, Prodl says that with full support from fans and players alike who want success as much as he will ensure a great comeback for Watford in order to finish strong at the end of this season!

“I see it differently now – I am supporting Watford,” Prodl concludes.

Watford has played much better lately. They have been on a four-game winning streak and currently sit in the 20th place of the league following Pearson’s insertion into the team last December 2019. The team struggled to win matches during January and February this year, but they are still doing better than before when they were below Watford back in December 2018.

“Obviously their three most recent games weren’t very successful,” Prodl said. “But if we think back one month ago or two months ago where Watford was sitting on the table… I’m pretty sure it was more difficult for them. I think it’s been quite successful for the new managing team, so I still believe that there is a lot of strength and talent to succeed in this league and stay with Watford. I will be watching from close by, hoping they are safe soon.”

Prodl believed that Pearson was the key player who could bring success to the team on match days. After having sacked their former coach Quique Sanchez Flores after an extended stretch of winless games, he said “I don’t want to compare but what Nigel has brought them is brilliant man-management.” He continued “From what I’ve seen on training ground how he involves people – how communicates with players- trying always keep everyone together”. Prodl also said “The new identity paid off” adding “A lot of players were focused just not at game or task hand.”

‘He came in and I think he tries very hard and is successful at being the glue of the club who just if things go south or things go wrong, he glues them back together’ Prodl said of Pearson. ‘He tells people his honest opinion, he’s straightforward which is why people come to him with their problems’.

If someone as renowned for their play on the pitch as Prodl believes this then it would be safe to say that team should definitely trust in what they can do now to save their season.
