Mike Inez replaced Mike Starr back in 1993, who was also an excellent bass player but passed away in 2011. The band’s fans’ favorite and one the best singing vocals of all time was and still is the late great Layne Staley, who also passed away in 2002. We’ll remember many forever since he was a unique talent.
This was a massive hit for Alice in Chains, who stopped playing until they returned in 2005 with DuVall as a new singer. He had big shoes to fill, but nonetheless, he was accepted by the audience as a great singer.

Pearl Jam
One may say Pearl Jam is the same as Alice in Chains since both bands were the leaders of the grunge music movement, but music-wise, Pearl Jam is a totally different band.
They began in 1990, and today’s line-up consists of founding members Eddie Vedder as a singer, Jeff Ament on bass, Mike McCready as lead guitarist, Stone Gossard on rhythm guitar, and Matt Cameron on drums which became a Pearl Jam member in 1998. Since 2002, this band has had Boom Gaspar on keyboards as a .
They have often been dubbed the most famous American rock band of the ’90s, and some of the former members include drummers Dave Krusen, Matt Chamberlain, Jack Irons, and Dave Abbruzzese.
Pearl Jam’s debut album, Ten, has sold more than 13,000,000 million copies only in the United States.

Blink-182
Blink-182 is another popular and still active rock band that began its journey in 1992.
The current Blink-182 line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge, bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Travis Barker. This band’s lyrics primarily focus on maturity and the lack of it, adolescent frustration, and relationships.
Blink became highly popular by emerging from a suburban skate-punk scene in Southern California, gaining popularity for its irreverent humor and electrifying live performances. In fact, Blink is one of those bands that became extremely popular by the end of the ’90s and even more at the beginning of the 2000s.

Green Day
Like Alice in Chains, Green Day was also formed in 1987. Believe it or not, they were also known as Sweet Children from 1987 to 1989. Nevertheless, they exploded in the ’90s and are still considered among the best ’90s bands.
The band began with members Billie Joe Armstrong as lead vocalist and guitarist and Mike Dirnt as backing vocalist and bassist. They have mainly been a trio with Tré Cool as a drummer, who replaced John Kiffmeyer in 1990. They also have a touring guitarist by the name of Jason White, who became a full-time member of the band back in 2012 but returned to his previous role in 2016.
Green Day, or Sweet Children at the time, became famous by being part of the late ’80s and early ’90s Bay Area punk scene. Like some other bands from this inspirational period, they also came out from the 924 Gilman Street club in Berkeley, California.
Fortunately, Green Day is still active and one of the best rock bands on the planet, so watching them perform live would be an excellent experience.
