Here’s what you need to Learn about the G Suite Re-branding

Google re-brands Google Workplace, formerly G Suite.  Google workplace will be your one-stop-shop place as it will be a collaboration of multiple applications. It will be the home of the tech giant’s productivity app provider from Gmail, Drive, Slides, Meets, Docs, Calendar, and other apps. The goal here is to be more efficient to its users when it comes to communication and collaboration. The re-branding has been launched to business customers and soon will be available to other users. Also, the icons will come out in the coming weeks in a new four-color look.

Google Workplace aims to give a whole new experience to the users by combining useful features such as email, chat, video, and voice calls all wrapped into one place. It will also launch new tools like one that can create and collaborate on a document while within the room. Thus, it will enable us to show to the participants in a meeting when you are both collaborating thru Google Meet picture-in-picture.

Meanwhile, searching for contact will be easy. A smart chip will show contact information when you mention someone using the “@” symbol in your document.  It will also suggest other actions like contacting them thru email, chat, or video call or adding them to a new contact.

Google also confirmed that users would enable them to create and collaborate on a document with other guests within the chat room. It will be easier to work with other participants that are outside of the users’ organization. Users will also expect a roll-out for Meet picture-in-picture for Docs, Slides, and Sheets.

In a , the VP and GM of Google Workplace said that “10 years ago, when many of our products were first developed, they were created as individual apps that solved distinct challenges—like a better email with Gmail, or a new way for individuals to collaborate together with Docs. Over time, our products have become more integrated, so much so that the lines between our apps have started to disappear.” He also added. “Our new Google Workspace brand reflects this more connected, helpful, and flexible experience and our icons will reflect the same. In the coming weeks, you will see new four-color icons for Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, and our collaborative content creation tools like Docs, Sheets, and Slides that are part of the same family. They represent our commitment to building integrated communication and collaboration experiences for everyone, all with helpfulness from Google.”

Google Workspace will also provide methods for its users on how to manage a family budget, how to set up a neighborhood group, and many more exciting using their integrated tools.

The company believes that Google Workplace exemplifies its dream where time is more valuable, work can be more flexible and building stronger human connection is possible and way very important.
